Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera is en route to Singapore to link up with Arsenal’s pre-season tour as his transfer nears completion.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been granted permission by Valencia to join the Gunners while final formalities of the deal are being finalised. Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with the player.

Mosquera is expected to add depth and competition to Arsenal’s central defence, joining a squad that already includes first-choice pairing William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
