Los Angeles FC have completed the signing of Scottish defender Ryan Porteous from Watford in a deal worth £752,000 ($1 million).
The 25-year-old centre-back has signed a three-year contract with the MLS club, including an option for a fourth year.
From Watford to LA: Porteous Makes MLS Switch
Porteous departs Watford after making 82 appearances for the Championship side. He initially joined the Hornets from Hibernian in January 2023 and became a regular fixture in defence before spending the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Preston North End.
A full Scotland international, Porteous now begins a new chapter in the United States, where he is expected to strengthen LAFC’s backline as they push for success in the Western Conference.
As it stands it looks asif Heung-Min Son will be joining him in Los Angeles also!
