Matchday Fever

Wrexham have completed the signing of Wales international striker Kieffer Moore from Sheffield United on a three-year deal, reportedly worth around £2 million.

The 32-year-old forward expressed his excitement about the move:

“I’m over the moon to join the club and I can’t wait to get started. I want to be that experienced leader… My work ethic is one of my strongest assets.”

Moore becomes Wrexham’s eighth summer signing as the club prepares for their first Championship season since 1982. Manager Phil Parkinson praised Moore’s experience at both Championship and international levels, stating the team is eager to work with him.

A Packed Attack

With Moore’s arrival, Wrexham now boast eight senior strikers—even after Paul Mullin’s loan to Wigan and Jake Bickerstaff’s move to Cheltenham.

Other summer signings include:

  • Danny Ward (GK)
  • Ryan Hardie (FWD)
  • Josh Windass (FWD)
  • George Thomason (MID)
  • Lewis O’Brien (MID)
  • Liberato Cacace (DEF)
  • Conor Coady (DEF)

The club has also been in talks for a record £7.5m move for Ipswich striker Nathan Broadhead, and held exploratory discussions about Christian Eriksen, though no move has materialized.

Moore’s Career Journey

Moore’s path to the Championship has been far from straightforward:

  • Began in non-league with Paignton Saints, Truro City, and Dorchester Town
  • First EFL break at Yeovil Town
  • Stints with Viking (Norway) and Forest Green
  • Breakthrough season with Rotherham United (13 goals in 22 games)
  • Played for Barnsley, Wigan, and Cardiff (25 goals in 65 games)
  • Promoted with Bournemouth, also featured in the Premier League
  • Helped Ipswich reach the Premier League on loan last season
  • Scored 5 goals in 28 games for Sheffield United last season

Internationally, Moore has 33 caps and 12 goals for Wales, most recently scoring in June’s 3–0 win over Liechtenstein in World Cup qualifying.

New Era Begins

Wrexham—backed by co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney—kick off their Championship campaign on Saturday, 9 August, away at Southampton (12:30 BST).

They’ve come a long way, climbing from the National League to the Championship in just three years. Now, with Moore leading the line, Wrexham are no longer just along for the ride.
