Grimsby Town have completed the signing of Jude Soonsup-Bell, bringing in the 21-year-old forward on a one-year contract after his departure from Spanish club Cordoba CF. The deal includes an option to extend for an additional 12 months.
Soonsup-Bell began his professional career at Chelsea, signing his first contract at 17. He made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup against Brentford and represented England from Under-15 to Under-19 level.
In 2023, the talented attacker joined Tottenham Hotspur, featuring mainly for their U21 side before making the move to Spain with Segunda División outfit Cordoba. Earlier this year, he spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan in Spain’s third tier with Atletico Sanluqueño. He was released by Cordoba this summer without making a first-team appearance.
Grimsby Town manager David Artell expressed his delight at securing the young forward:
> “I’m really pleased that Jude has chosen to join the team. He’s an exciting talent with a great pedigree and a player we have been watching for some time. He will add great competition to our forward line this season, and we are really excited to work with him.”
The Mariners have made a strong start to their League Two campaign, collecting four points from their opening two matches and scoring six goals. They will host Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday (19:45 BST).
