Morecambe FC have boosted their squad with three new loan signings – Albania defender Maldini Kacurri from Arsenal, midfielder Arjan Raikhy from Boston United, and QPR’s Elijah Dixon-Bonner.
Maldini Kacurri Joins from Arsenal
Highly rated 19-year-old centre-back Maldini Kacurri arrives from Arsenal. The Albanian international made his senior debut in a recent victory over Gibraltar and has previously spent time on loan at Bromley in League Two, making three appearances.
Kacurri also made history last season when he became the first Albanian to play for Arsenal, featuring as a substitute in a 5-1 Carabao Cup win against Bolton Wanderers.
Arjan Raikhy Signs from Boston United
Joining Kacurri is 22-year-old midfielder Arjan Raikhy, who moves from National League rivals Boston United. A former Aston Villa and Leicester City youth player, Raikhy signed for Boston this summer and has made two appearances so far this season.
Elijah Dixon-Bonner Arrives from QPR
Morecambe have also secured the services of Elijah Dixon-Bonner on loan from Queens Park Rangers until January. The 24-year-old midfielder came through Liverpool’s academy, where he made three first-team appearances before joining QPR in 2022.
Dixon-Bonner has since featured 28 times in the Championship and gained experience abroad during a loan spell in Sweden with Västerås earlier this year. He is expected to be available for Morecambe’s upcoming clash against Wealdstone on Saturday.
