The Championship opener, between recently promoted Birmingham City and recently relegated Ipswich town got off to a feisty start as tempers flared multiple times in a tense 1-1 draw.
George Hirst scored a penalty in the fifth minute of injury time to rescue a point for Ipswich Town and deny Birmingham City victory in the opening game of the new Championship season.
Blues had looked on course for a deserved win after Jay Stansfield had given them the lead early in the second half.
Birmingham City would have taken a point before the game against one of the favourites to win the league, however, they looked the better side throughout.
A great game to start the season off.
